TYPO MISTAKE

You are the scene of my crime passionate

lint and gasoline and matchstick

Your body is a brush fire

a slow alarm

sand beneath my feet

You walk like the apology I did not ask

a bustling hive

like crispy wafer

as a painless exit wound

You are the ringing of my cell's phone in a quiet theater

pebble wedged in the sole of my boot ensconced

flip flops in the storm

The hole in my wellies rain

You're a sweetalk in unprotected sex

You are what I want

Are you a poem I can not write

a word I can not translate

a name that I can not bring to myself

and say aloud:

I am the wrong typo in an otherwise brilliant novel

Είσαι η σκηνή του παθιασμένου μου εγκλήματος

το χνούδι και η βενζίνη και το σπίρτο

Το σώμα σου είναι πινέλο φωτιάς

ένας αργός συναγερμός

άμμος κάτω από τα πόδια μου

Περπατάς σαν τη συγγνώμη που δεν ζήτησα

μια πολύβουη κυψέλη

σαν την τραγανιστή γκοφρέτα

σαν μια πληγή ανώδυνης εξόδου

Είσαι το κουδούνισμα του τηλεφώνου των κυττάρων μου σε ένα ήρεμο θέατρο

βότσαλο σφηνωμένο στο πέλμα της βολεμένης μπότας μου

σαγιονάρες μέσα στην καταιγίδα

η τρύπα στις γαλότσες της βροχής μου

Είσαι γλυκόλογο σε σεξουαλική επαφή χωρίς προφύλαξη

Είσαι ό, τι θέλω

Είσαι ένα ποίημα που δεν μπορώ να γράψω

μια λέξη που δεν μπορώ να μεταφράσω

ένα όνομα που δεν μπορώ να φέρω στον εαυτό μου

και να πω φωναχτά:

Είμαι το τυπογραφικό λάθος σε ένα κατά τα άλλα λαμπρό μυθιστόρημα
